Before
Templating
The following information must be provided before a
template date can be assigned:
-
Sink brand
and model number.
-
Range brand
and model number.
-
Cook-top
brand and model number.
-
Faucet
brand and model number.
-
Brand and
model number for any other appliance that is being used that
would require a penetration of the countertop.
Templating
After the cabinetry is installed, we will template for your
countertops. If you are only replacing the countertops and not
the cabinetry, we may have to remove the backsplash and bar top.
This is to ensure an accurate fit of the new countertop.
The area of
template must be clear of any objects such as dishes, tools,
appliances, etc.
It is the
responsibility of the contractor/homeowner to ensure that all
cabinetry and end panels are completely installed and secure. It
is critical that the cabinets are flat and level so as to
eliminate any stress on the countertops.
Installation
Tops must be removed prior to installation crew's arrival. If we
are removing the existing tops, we will remove on the day of
installation. Plumbing must be disconnected prior to our crew's
arrival.
Our installers
are moving very heavy countertops. For the safety of everyone
involved, homeowners and children should stay away from the work
area and an unobstructed access point should be provided. Please
be sure all pets are secured during the countertop installation.
After
installation, we will clean the countertop area and leave the
site in a “broom swept” condition. Installation of countertops
is a construction process and residual dust should be expected.
We use the most advanced tools for dust collection and we take
every precaution to minimize the dust, however the process is
not 100% dust free. |
